Cutting-Edge Soldering Robots Suit Wide Applications
Providing a rich array of solutions for soldering automation, JAPAN UNIX has expanded its lineup of soldering robots with diverse optimum configurations to suit various applications and meet specific customer needs.

s a company offering wide range of soldering solutions, JAPAN UNIX CO., LTD.’s main products include various types of soldering robots, such as the semiconductor laser for non-contact soldering, ultrasonic soldering, and soldering iron robot.

Aside from its offices across Japan, the company also maintains offices in several cities throughout Asia, including Shanghai and Shenzhen in China; Seoul in Korea; Taipei in Taiwan; and Penang in Malaysia. It also maintains a representative office in Guadalajara in Mexico.

Soldering robots are primarily used in a wide range of applications, such as in smartphones, automotive printed circuit boards (PCBs), digital devices, medical equipment, and industrial equipment. JAPAN UNIX offers the UNIX-DF Series soldering robots with improved network function and the UNIX-GF Series four-axis orthogonal soldering robots, along with other soldering products equipped with new functions. The company is promoting these expansive product line to meet various applications.

UNIX-DF Series
The UNIX-DF Series can connect with Ethernet in a factory and uses Soldering Recorder, a dedicated monitoring software that can do many functions such as monitor the soldering operations in real time; save soldering operation data; save videos of the soldering operations of the robot using an external camera; notify errors and defects by email; and manage traceability.

The UNIX-DF Series is provided with dedicated soldering software that enables easy operation and programming. This soldering robot has an enhanced network function that achieves high scalability. It is equipped with a new type of anti-scattering cleaner and allows daily maintenance to be performed easily. The robot also supports Soldering Manager, a new software that can upgrade the traceability function in order to save operational log data.

UNIX-GF Series
The UNIX-GF Series four-axis orthogonal soldering robot has a flexible platform that can be used with a conveyor and independent work cell. This robot has adopted an easy-to-understand teaching program dedicated for soldering, as in the case with the desktop soldering robots.

The orthogonal type soldering robot is adopted so that it can be easily installed in an automatic line.

UNIX-700FH, USP5, and NASE-9C
The soldering tip changer of the UNIX-700FH full-automatic Selective Compliance Articulated Robot Arm (SCARA) soldering robot automatically changes the soldering tip when it wears out. The USP5 automatic soldering unit performs automatic soldering at low cost because it can be used with a general cylinder sold in the market.

The NASE-9C nano-soldering station is one of the smallest class soldering tools in the industry and can be used for soldering 0402 and 0603 chip components. It achieves fast-response temperature adjustment, which improves the soldering work efficiency.

JAPAN UNIX has become an exclusive distributor for the Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC) in Japan and conducts sales of IPC standards publications as well as promotion of widespread use of IPC standards.

IPC, which is headquartered in Illinois, United States, is an international industrial organization for establishing international standards for the quality of electronic device PCBs and manufacturing equipment. IPC was established in 1957 and counts approximately 3,700 companies, such as Boeing, Continental, GE, Intel, among many others, as its members. IPC standards have been adopted by various manufacturing industries, such as automobile and automotive components, smartphone and digital home appliances, aviation devices, and medical equipment. JAPAN UNIX also runs a soldering training course that is compliant with IPC standards.
