Bosch Power Tools Expands Business in New Deal

Bosch Power Tools plans to acquire nearly 50 percent shares of the FerRobotics Compliant Robot Technology GmbH. Accordingly, FerRobotics is one of the leading global providers in the field of contact-sensitive automation with headquarters in Linz, Austria.

Most importantly, Bosch Power Tools’ planned acquisition will enable the company to open up new market segments.

The two companies have signed the agreement for the transaction. FerRobotics have extensive distribution locations in the United States and China.

Planned acquisition of shares offers high growth potential through innovative product portfolio and strong market position.

”With the planned equity share in FerRobotics, we are opening up new market segments in the accessories business and are systematically driving our growth”, says Thomas Donato, President of Bosch Power Tools.

In addition, Donato said, “The starting point of all our considerations is always the user of our products, which is also the reason for acquiring shares in FerRobotics.” Donato added the combined portfolio of Bosch Power Tools and FerRobotics will bring about unique abrasive solutions for industrial applications. Thus, unfolding their full potential for maximum added value.

Aims Quality Production Results

FerRobotics is currently employing roughly 50 associates and is expecting sales in the double-digit million range for the current fiscal year. It has been agreed that the purchase price will not be disclosed. Moreover, the shareholding is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.

Ronald Naderer co-founded FerRobotics and is still leading the company as chief executive officer. His vision was to simplify complex processes and close automation gaps. Thus, increasing the quality of production results.

Strategic investment to open up new segments in the accessories business.

Moreover, FerRobotics has been revolutionizing surface finishing in sanding and polishing processes for over 15 years with its patented technology. Thus, the deal with Bosch Power Tools will provide an even wider distribution in the future.
