
SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026 officially kicked off Tuesday (May 5) at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). This year’s edition serves as the premier platform for global industry leaders to align on the future of Southeast Asia.

As the global semiconductor industry races toward becoming a US$1 trillion market by 2030, the three-day 2026 show highlights the critical role of regional collaboration.
With the theme “Transform Tomorrow”, the three-day SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026 will focus on accelerating next-generation technologies while addressing current structural challenges. The regional event will also provide the latest insights on artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, sustainability, workforce development, advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration, supplier sourcing, and more.
Market analysts note that Southeast Asia has emerged as a significant driver of global semiconductor growth, having outperformed the broader industry over the past few years, supported by sustained expansion in manufacturing capacity, assembly, testing and packaging, as well as its increasing integration into global semiconductor supply chains.

Robust Lineup of Industry Players
Organizers expect this year’s edition to bring together more than 20,000 innovators, policymakers, and technology experts, fostering collaboration across the international semiconductor value chain. Moreover, following previous year’s official record, the three-day event expects to attract around 1,400 exhibiting companies.
A robust lineup of global industry leaders across the chip value chain are expected to take part as exhibitors this year. Among them are Applied Materials, GlobalFoundries, Infineon Technologies, KLA Corporation, ASMPT, ASE Group, KLA Corporation, Soitec, among others.
Over 30 Japanese companies will also take part at this year’s event, led by Tokyo Electron, Advantest, Disco Corporation, Screen Semiconductor Solutions, Hitachi High-Tech, Nikon, and Murata Electronics Singapore.
Last year’s SEMICON Southeast Asia marked its 30th anniversary edition in Singapore, which drew 26,000 attendees from 50 countries with 1,399 booths. Accordingly, the said event generated S$21 million in total
The event’s impact was further underscored by its significant media footprint, generating $21 million in total media value. As the industry looks ahead, SEMI announced that SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026 will return to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from May 5-7, 2026, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
