U.S.-based battery cell technology developer KORE Power, Inc. is tapping Siemens’ automation solutions for its advanced KOREPlex gigafactory. Particularly, the company will employ the advanced manufacturing software and hardware from the Siemens Xcelerator open business platform.

This new 1,330,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility in Arizona will use multiple production lines. Specifically, producing batteries for electric vehicles (EV) and energy storage systems.

Thus, helping KORE Power digitally transform its entire design and manufacturing process. With the selection of Siemens Xcelerator to power the KOREPlex, the facility will likely become a frontrunner for advanced manufacturing. KORE Power, Inc. (KORE) recently received a conditional commitment from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (LPO). Particularly, it covers loans amounting $850 million under the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing (ATVM) Loan Program. Specifically, the loan will fund the construction of the KOREPlex.
