OMRON, a leading provider of industrial automation solutions, has launched the new NX-HTC temperature controller. This 30mm-wide controller is designed to provide optimal and automatic control without the need for human intervention. It is ideal for applications such as innovative semiconductor chip production.
In manufacturing and packaging applications, temperature control plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, optimizing processes, managing thermal stress, and maintaining consistency and reproducibility. Anomalies in machine assembly can lead to costly downtime and extensive time spent in identifying and fixing issues. With the NX-HTC temperature controller, OMRON aims to prevent such anomalies and significantly reduce the man-hours spent on troubleshooting.
Highlight Features
Mainly, NX-HTC features a unique temperature waveform digitization function. This enables users to accurately capture and analyze temperature trends. Also, this function facilitates smarter maintenance planning by detecting early signs of unusual equipment conditions, such as heater degradation, incorrect sensor placement, or powder adhesion on sealing bar surfaces.
With an impressive resolution of 0.01°C, the NX-HTC temperature controller delivers high-precision temperature control, even in high-temperature scenarios. Additionally, it provides comprehensive heating and cooling control capabilities, accompanied by HBA (heater burnout alarm) support. Moreover, NX-HTC is equipped with a pre-boost function that proactively reduces wait times by up to 80%. This feature addresses machine stops promptly and pre-compensates for incoming temperature drops in sync with machine motion, maximizing production efficiency.
NX-HTC is available in 4 and 8 loops models. Thus, it enables multipoint control within a compact 30mm width, taking up 40% less space than its predecessor, the NX-TC model, which had 4 channels per unit. Particularly, this compact design optimizes space utilization and simplifies installation.
Moreover, NX-HTC supports universal input, allowing for the measurement of a wide range of sensors. It is compatible with 12 types of thermocouples, Pt100, and current/voltage linear sensors, including infrared ones. Additionally, NX-HTC features an ultra-compact interface wiring system, streamlining the setup process, and reducing wiring complexity.
