Murata to Boost Capacity With New Vietnam Plant

Murata Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. has started the construction of a new production building at its Ho Chi Minh plant slated to conclude next year. The new production building will provide the infrastructure necessary to respond to growing demand for inductor coils for cars and electronic devices in a medium- to long-term capacity.

Murata Manufacturing Vietnam is a manufacturing subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

Growing Presence in Vietnam

The three-story building will have a total floor of 10,576sq.m with a total investment of 3 billion Japanese yen.

The construction of the new facility is likely to conclude in the first half of 2026 and will further reinforce Murata’s presence in the region.

Murata Manufacturing Vietnam has two facilities in Vietnam. It’s Ho Chi Minh facility started in October 1995 while its Da Nang facility in November 2003.

As of end March 2025, the company’s combined workforce in the country is 3,453 with Kazumoto Ikeda as the Managing Director.
