FPT to Expand Digital Services in Japan with New HQ

FPT Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of global IT corporation FPT, celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters in Tokyo. This move is part of the company’s expansion strategy in response to increasing customer demand for digital services and solutions.

FPT’s new Japan headquarters is located in Mita district, one of Tokyo’s most prestigious and upscale residential areas. Also, it is near major companies like NEC Global and KCCS Tokyo. Situated on the 33rd floor of Mita Garden Tower, the office spans 3,000m² and accommodates over 500 employees.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador-Designate of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to Japan H.E. Pham Quang Hieu commended FPT’s contributions to the IT industry in Japan. Also, he emphasized FPT’s impressive growth over the past two decades. He acknowledged the opening of the new state-of-the-art office as a testament to the company’s strong development.

“Japan played a decisive role in our ‘going global’ journey two decades ago and has since remained our core market. Thanks to our success there, we have confidently ventured into other challenging markets such as the US, Europe, and globally. Throughout our development journey, we have looked up to the industry giants in Japan as benchmarks of excellence. Today, I am proud to see FPT Japan open this world-class office. This embodies the same standards of innovation we have long admired and upheld,” said Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software.

This is also part of our efforts to contribute a solution to Japan’s labor shortage due to its increasing golden workforce,” said Do Van Khac, Senior Executive Vice President of FPT Software and CEO of FPT Japan.

With nearly 20 years of operating in the Japanese market, the company is now one of the country’s largest foreign-invested tech firms in terms of human resources. FPT Japan currently has over 3,500 employees working in 17 local offices and innovation hubs, and nearly 15,000 global professionals dedicated to the Japanese market. This allows the firm to provide digital services and solutions to over 450 clients worldwide. Further, it aims to grow its local team to 5,000 employees by the end of next year and achieve its first billion-dollar revenue by 2027.

Currently, FPT Japan is a member of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren). Also, it serves as the Chair Company of the Vietnamese Association of Digital Transformation in Japan (VADX Japan). Primarily, it aims to enhance cooperation and development in digital technology between Vietnam and Japan. The company is also recognized for excellent employee benefits and workplace happiness.
