ATI Develops New Manual Tool Changer for Robots

From ATI Industrial Automation, Inc. comes the MC-50 Manual Robot Tool Changer featuring an intuitive and ergonomic lever operation. Mainly, the patent-pending MC-50 Manual Robot Tool Changer provides a simple solution for quickly changing robotic end-of-arm tooling by hand. This compact and robust tool suits applications on collaborative robots (cobots) that support payloads up to 25kg and small industrial robots supporting payloads up to 10kg.

MC-50 Tool-side and Master-side

The manual robot tool changer features an ISO 50mm mounting interface on the Master-side and Tool-side. Also, the low-profile MC-50 mounts directly to most cobots. Moreover, it seamlessly integrates with many common cobot marketplace grippers and end-effectors.

Additionally, the MC-50 includes a safety latch button on the lever. Specifically, it provides secondary locking for increased safety and prevention of involuntary uncoupling. Four (4) M5 integrated pneumatic pass-through ports and a mounting flat for optional ATI Utility Modules support a variety of electrical and pneumatic utilities for downstream end-effectors.

ATI’s MC-50 offers unmatched performance, reliability, and quality for manual exchange of robot tools.
