Rockwell Releases New Efficient Photoelectric Sensors

The new Allen-Bradley 42EA RightSight S18 and 42JA VisiSight M20A photoelectric sensors by Rockwell Automation are economical sensing solutions. Particularly, they offer a wide range of sensing modes, mounting options, and unique features. For these reasons, the new sensors make them optimal solutions for global operations.

All models have a visible red-light source to ease alignment. Meanwhile, multiple connection options and adjustment knobs for light or dark operation help ease of installation.

Sensor Features, Characteristics

Both product lines are ideal for material handling, packaging, and assembly applications. Notably, these lines also address even the small form factor needs of industries like life sciences, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and household and personal care.

The 42EA RightSight S18 line of sensors offers the performance of larger solutions in a smaller, more adaptable package to deliver excellent detection capabilities where size and shape matter. In addition, the sensors feature a wide range of sensing modes and are ideal for general purpose and cost-sensitive applications. Particularly, these applications include material handling, packaging, and other industries.

The RightSight family offers industry standard housing with 18 mm nose and 25.4 mm through-hole mounting for application flexibility.

Meanwhile, the 42JA VisiSight M20A line offers a full range of sensing modes in a sealed, compact, cavity-free housing. This minimizes the collection of dust and debris while allowing for easy sensor cleanup. Furthermore, the sensors offer a small rectangular package with visible light beam for ease of alignment and industry standard mounting holes spacing of 25.4 mm (1 in.). Each model offers PNP or NPN and light operate or dark operate outputs.
