TDK to Soar High in China With Novel Technologies

TDK Corporation returns to electronica China 2024 to highlight its cutting-edge components and systems in China and the Asia Pacific Region. Specifically, the company will propel solutions and systems that will propel its grit in the growth tech fields of digital and energy transformation.

TDK will showcase its technologies in Seven Seas. They are Beyond 5G, IoT, Robotics, AR/VR, Medical/Health Care, Mobility ADAS/EV, and Renewable Energy. Furthermore, in each of these seven fields, TDK will supply value to society through new user experiences.

At electronica China 2024, TDK’s wide range of portfolio on display will be electronic components, sensors and sensors systems, power supplies, battery cells, and many more.

New Technologies for Growth Markets

Founded in 2002, electronica China is now one of the leading platforms for innovative components, systems, applications, and solutions. In fact, electronica China has emerged as one of the most important events in the industry. Moreover, it has been providing the industry with more display options and opportunities and strong participation from related application fields.

TDK will make its presence felt once again at electronica China at booth 6506 in Hall E6 of the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) from July 8 to 10.

Demonstrating its leadership in electronic solutions for the smart society, TDK will showcase at electronica China why it has been at the forefront of technological evolution. Thus, it will live to its communication message, “Attracting Tomorrow”, during the three-day event.

TDK‘s comprehensive, innovation-driven portfolio features passive components such as ceramic, aluminum electrolytic and film capacitors, as well as magnetics, high-frequency, and piezo and protection devices. The product spectrum also includes sensors and sensor systems such as temperature and pressure, magnetic, and MEMS sensors. In addition, TDK provides power supplies and energy devices, magnetic heads, and more.

At electronica China, TDK will highlight its controller, power, connectivity and sensors, and user interface in the AR/VR field. It will also highlight its prowess in the user devices, network edge, and network core for the Beyond 5G field.

Also, TDK will prove its leadership in the wearables and connected home applications for the IoT field and in ADAS and xEV for the Mobility/Automotive field. TDK will also showcase its components and power supplies that are bringing advances in the Medical and Healthcare field.

On the other hand, it will showcase its solutions for photovoltaic, wind power generation, and EV charging in the Renewable Energy field. Finally, it will also present products for industrial robots and service robots in the Robotics field.

Product Highlights, Demonstrations

Below are among the products and solutions TDK will highlight at the three-day electronica China 2024:

  • Wireless Power Transfer: TDK’s new dramatically thinner pattern coils set that will revolutionize wireless charging.  Featuring the unique TDK pattern coil technology, the product achieves industry-leading 0.76 mm thickness and can significantly support larger charging area. Moreover, it complies with Qi wireless charging standard.

  • Full-Color Laser Module / Smart Glasses: Full-color laser module for direct projection onto the retina, which is suitable for use in AR/VR applications.

  • Cu Mesh Antenna TMA Series: This product suits on displays, so there is no need to store the antenna inside the mobile phone and other devices. It has low visibility achieved through the line width of 1µm and the blackening of copper.

  • NFC Antenna MSC Series: Using TDK magnetic sheet and coating technology, a coated coil is embedded in the magnetic sheet to achieve a thin film-free, ultra-thin NFC antenna that is resistant to high temperatures (up to 125°C). In addition, NFC also achieves a longer communication distance. Specifically, it can suit in-vehicle applications.

  • New dual-die stray-field robust 3D position sensors: HAR 3920-2100 (dual die) is a precise Hall-effect position sensor with robust stray-field compensation capabilities with ratiometric analog and switch outputs. The sensor is defined as ASIL C- ready and can be integrated in automotive safety-related systems up to ASIL D.

  • Smarter Hearables (True Wireless Stereo): TWS devices showing 360 spatial audio and active noise cancellation, enabled by TDK’s ultra-low power VibeSense360™ motion sensor solution.

  • Low power MEMS microphone with I²S interface: The T5848 I2S microphone with Acoustic Activity Detect (AAD) provides high sound fidelity at ultra-low power. Thus, enabling IoT and edge AI applications in wearables, TWS earbuds, AR glasses, smart speakers, home security, action cameras, TV remotes, and various AI systems.

  • PowerHap multilayer piezo-ceramic actuators: A single PowerHap 6005, however, can adequately serve a display weighing up to 2kg. A display equipped with the powerful PowerHap 6005 will let a driver intuitively recognize button controls without having to look at the screen.
