ASIA ELECTRONICS INDUSTRYYOUR WINDOW TO SMART MANUFACTURING

New Intel, FPT Deal to Advance AI in Smart Factories

The manufacturing industry has entered an era where AI is no longer part of the process but is actively orchestrating data-intensive and autonomous operations. For that reason, American chipmaker Intel and Vietnamese tech and IT services provider FPT have agreed to work together to deliver an end-to-end AI-driven factory optimization solution.

Currently, manufacturers are facing increasingly complex, data-intensive operations yet many still struggle to predict disruptions, optimize production flows, and fully leverage real-time data.

FPT and Intel have forged a strategic relationship to address these challenges manufacturers are facing by enabling closed-loop factory intelligence. Here, simulation, real-time data, and AI continuously optimize performance.

Seamless Deployment of Tools in Factories

Powered by AI, simulation, and digital manufacturing technologies, the Intel-FPT collaboration aims to reduce bottlenecks, accelerate decision-making processes, and improve downtime recovery. Thus, ushering the sector’s transition towards an AI-driven, autonomous operations.

The collaboration will pave the way for a solution that will bring together Intel’s high-speed simulation and digital and twin technology with FPT’s data platforms and system integration expertise.

Intel’s Automated Factory Solutions (AFS), which include its Factory Pathfinder and Factory Recon, will allow manufacturers to gain a dynamic and end-to-end view of factory operations. Meanwhile, FPT will complement this with its digital manufacturing platform, such as its FleziOps (MOM+), FleziQMS (Quality Management Suite), and FleziUDP (Unified Data Platform).

Together, the integrated solution will bring the following benefits to manufacturers:

  • Run thousands of AI-driven simulations to identify optimal production strategies
  • Detect and resolve bottlenecks before they impact production
  • Improve scheduling and material flow across complex production lines
  • Visualize and analyze factory operations through real-time digital twins

New Levels of Operational Agility, Efficiency

Paul Schneider, Principal Engineer and Director at Intel Corporation said manufacturing is one of the complex environments that requires more than just tools but a connected, intelligent system. “By collaborating with FPT, we’re able to extend the reach of Intel’s factory optimization technologies and help manufacturers operationalize AI-driven insights at scale.”

Meanwhile, Hoan Nguye, FPT Software SEVP and FPT Americas CEO, FPT Corporation, said the manufacturing industry has already reached a turning point where AI is not just augmenting operations but actively orchestrate them.

“At FPT, we see a growing demand for smarter, more adaptive manufacturing systems that can respond to real-time conditions…By combining Intel’s expertise with our AI-first solutions and global delivery capability, we are helping manufacturers achieve new levels of operational agility and efficiency,” said Nguyen.
