Adani, Jabil Target AI Hardware Demand Surge

Indian ICT conglomerate Adani Group and American manufacturing solutions company Jabil Inc. have announced plans to form a strategic alliance to build a vertically integrated AI and data center infrastructure manufacturing platform in India. The initiative aims to address fast-rising global demand for AI-ready hardware by combining Jabil’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities with Adani’s infrastructure, logistics, and green energy assets.

Combining Scale, Engineering, and Energy

The partnership brings together six decades of Jabil’s expertise in advanced manufacturing and hyperscale data center solutions with Adani’s extensive infrastructure footprint and growing data center operations. The companies intend to create a domestic manufacturing ecosystem that supports both Indian and global markets.

The platform is expected to leverage Adani’s renewable energy portfolio and logistics network to enable efficient production and deployment of next-generation AI infrastructure.

Core Manufacturing Capabilities

At the center of the plan is giga-scale AI rack production, designed to support hyperscalers, enterprise data centers, and colocation providers. The companies aim to manufacture high-density, liquid-cooled AI racks, along with servers, storage systems, and networking components using advanced surface mount and integration processes.

Beyond computing systems, the alliance will also cover a wide range of supporting infrastructure. This includes power and cooling solutions such as power distribution units, coolant distribution units, transformers, and thermal management technologies, enabling a comprehensive, end-to-end hardware solution.

Tapping a Multi-Trillion-Dollar Opportunity

The initiative targets a rapidly expanding global AI infrastructure market projected to exceed US$3 trillion over the next seven years. Both firms are currently finalizing operational frameworks and documentation to accelerate execution.

India’s data center sector is also gaining momentum, with capacity expected to reach 5–8 GW by 2030. Strong demand from cloud computing, AI adoption, and regulatory requirements around data localization is reshaping the country’s technology supply chains.

Boost to Make in India Vision

The alliance aligns with Adani Group’s long-term goal to develop 5 GW of green-powered, AI-ready data centers by 2035. It also supports national efforts to strengthen domestic manufacturing and reduce reliance on imports.

For Jabil, the collaboration builds on its global AI infrastructure business and recent expansions in power and thermal solutions.
