German advanced automation and chip solutions provider esmo Group has completed three major facility investments across Germany, China and Taiwan the past six months, expanding its operational footprint in key semiconductor markets and reinforcing its ability to support customers worldwide.
These facilities coincided with the company’s marking its 25th anniversary in 2026.
The investments are designed to enhance engineering, manufacturing and customer support capabilities as semiconductor companies face rising demand driven by advanced applications such as artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC).
The global automation solutions provider, which operates in semiconductor test solutions and special-purpose machinery, said the latest projects represent a strategic step in strengthening its presence across important semiconductor manufacturing hubs.
“The expansions we are completing this year are a natural extension of that foundation, and a clear signal of where we are headed,” said Andreas Rothstein, CEO of esmo AG.

At its headquarters in Rosenheim, Germany, esmo established a new facility adjacent to its existing assembly hall. The building accommodates administrative functions along with engineering and software development teams from esmo semicon.
The site serves as an important addition to the company’s technical infrastructure and supports the development of technologies for advanced semiconductor testing applications. Following its soft opening in November 2025, the facility later hosted a company open house that showcased production and engineering capabilities related to AI and HPC semiconductor testing requirements.
In China, esmo opened a new production facility in Shanghai featuring dedicated manufacturing space and a cleanroom environment.
The site is focused on automated test equipment (ATE) and prober solutions, enabling the company to increase precision assembly capabilities, strengthen quality assurance processes and provide enhanced local support to customers operating in one of the world’s largest semiconductor markets.
The investment also positions esmo to respond more effectively to regional customer requirements while improving manufacturing efficiency and service responsiveness.
In Zhubei, Taiwan, esmo joined a newly established shared office developed through an initiative led by parent company Accuron Industrial Technologies.
The facility brings together multiple Accuron portfolio companies, including RECIF Technologies, mechatronic systemtechnik, Trymax Semiconductor Equipment and NexGen Wafer Systems. The shared presence is intended to encourage collaboration and create additional opportunities to support customers throughout the semiconductor value chain.
The facility investments form part of a broader strategy to advance semiconductor handling technologies while expanding global service capabilities.
esmo said it will continue investing in automation, digitalization, sustainable manufacturing processes and engineering talent to support emerging requirements in AI, HPC and other next-generation semiconductor applications.
“The semiconductor industry is evolving faster than ever, and our customers need partners who can keep pace,” Rothstein said. “As we look to the future, we will continue to invest in our people, our technology, and our global presence to ensure that esmo remains the partner of choice for the world’s leading chipmakers.”
While the company will mark its 25th anniversary in 2026, the completion of the three facilities underscores its current focus on expanding capacity and strengthening support for semiconductor customers across global markets.
