Oriental Motor USA has introduced a brand-new line of servo motors called the AZX Series. Specifically, these new servo motors feature the same battery-free mechanical absolute encoder technology used in the Alpha Step AZ Series.

The new AZX Series servo motors can achieve high torque in the high-speed range. Accordingly, this feature makes the series suitable for applications that require continuous speed control or positioning with a large amount of travel. The basic operations are the same as the AZ Series, making combined usage easier in the equipment.

Mainly, the key features of the new AZX Series servo motors include not requiring external sensors; achieving high torque in the high-speed range; EtherNet/IP compatible driver; with basic operations the same as Alpha Step AZ Series; and maximum speed of 5,500r/min.

Also, the series is available in the following configurations: 400W (1/2 HP); round shaft, PS geared type, and electromagnetic brake type; single-phase/three-phase 200 to 240VAC. Moreover, 600W (4/5 HP) is planned for Q4 (2023) release.
