IMI, Lithos Energy Forge Strategic Manufacturing Deal

Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. (IMI) and Lithos Energy, Inc. have forged a partnership to build electronics systems in the Philippines for their family of battery products.

Accordingly, the collaboration involves design for manufacturability to ensure high volume consistency and the manufacture of printed circuit boards and box builds. Moreover, it will also leverage the solid global footprint that will allow regional expansion in the marketplace.  

IMI is a Philippine-headquartered global technology and electronics manufacturing solutions expert. On the other hand, Lithos is a manufacturer of high-performance lithium-ion battery systems based in California, United States.

Innovative Battery Systems

Arthur R. Tan, chief executive officer of IMI said the collaboration will help Lithos Energy bring their innovative battery systems to the world. In addition, Tan said the agreement aligns with their commitment to support world-leading manufacturers in their growth and sustainability efforts.

In addition, Tan said, “It will be our small but meaningful contribution in boosting our country’s (Philippines) economic recovery and help provide more jobs.”

Meanwhile, James Meredith, chief executive officer of Lithos Energy said IMI’s manufacturing experience with electrified products will further accelerate the company’s capacity expansion. Meredith said he is looking forward to building a cleaner electrified future with IMI, targeting construction, mining, marine, and off-road industries.

The companies said mass production will start in Q4 of this year.

In 2023, Lithos Energy launched its latest generation of high-voltage and low-voltage battery pack solutions in its state-of-the-art production facility in Silicon Valley. In addition, the company manufactures various battery packs and is developing next-generation technology for industry-leading OEMs.

On the other hand, IMI has been continuing to drive collaborative partnerships while enabling sustainable solutions with the company’s experience and expertise.
