FANUC America unveils the latest addition to FANUC’s ROBODRILL vertical machining center (VMC) lineup, the new α-D28LiB5ADV Plus Y500. This new VMC offers more advantages to any production machine shop. Specifically, it features a larger table, shorter drilling, and tapping cycles, and more tools coupled with faster tool changes.

Designed for Peak Performance

Primarily, the design of FANUC’s ROBODRILL α-D28LiB5ADV Plus Y500 is suitable for peak performance. Also, it covers a wide range of tasks and excels at machining large workpieces. This is due to its extended Y-axis stroke (500mm) and increased table size, all without increasing the ROBODRILL’s footprint. Also, the new ROBODRILL speeds up drilling and tapping operations via a rapid Z-axis acceleration (2.2G) and traverse rate (60m/min). Plus, it features an expanded tool capacity of 28 tools and lightning-fast changes. Thus, the new ROBODRILL α-D28LiB5ADV Plus Y500 will boost productivity for any machining application.
