Korean True 3D measurement-based inspection solutions Koh Young Technology has announced plans to double its manufacturing capacity through the construction of a second production center at its Yeoju complex in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The investment is designed to support growing global demand for advanced inspection technologies driven by expansion in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and semiconductor production.
The new facility will span approximately 12,800 square meters, matching the size of the company’s existing Yeoju plant. Completion is targeted for August 2027. Once operational, the expanded production complex is expected to strengthen the company’s manufacturing and supply capabilities across its portfolio of inspection and measurement solutions.
AI Infrastructure Boom Fuels Inspection Demand
Demand for high-precision inspection systems has increased as investments in AI data centers continue to accelerate worldwide. Rising production of AI servers and advanced semiconductors is creating additional requirements throughout the electronics and semiconductor manufacturing chain, increasing the need for reliable process control and quality assurance technologies.
According to the company, this market momentum has contributed to recent record quarterly sales and continues to drive demand for its 3D precision measurement and inspection platforms.

The expansion will provide additional manufacturing capacity to support customers globally while reinforcing the company’s ability to address evolving industry requirements.
Supporting New Inspection and Medical Technologies
Beyond its core 3D inspection business, the new production center will create manufacturing capabilities for emerging technologies, including industrial X-ray inspection equipment, as the company broadens its inspection portfolio.
The facility will also provide additional infrastructure for the company’s growing medical technology operations. The company is preparing for wider adoption of its medical robotics technologies while continuing to expand offerings that include surgical navigation systems.
Demand for our 3D inspection solutions is increasing rapidly, particularly among global AI server and advanced semiconductor customers, and that demand is translating into continued sales growth. Koh Young said, by doubling its production capacity, it will be better positioned to respond to growing customer demand while establishing the manufacturing foundation needed to accelerate our next generation of technologies and new business initiatives.
Building for Long-Term Growth
The Yeoju expansion underscores the company’s strategy to evolve beyond its established position in 3D inspection toward a broader portfolio of advanced measurement, inspection and medical technologies.
By investing in production infrastructure while advancing new technologies, the company aims to strengthen its ability to serve rapidly expanding global markets and support future growth opportunities.
