Ono Works of Maxell to increase production capacity of primary batteries for medical devices.

Specifically, the Ono Works started operations in 1992. Mainly, it produces primary batteries such as alkaline button batteries, silver oxide batteries, and lithium coin cell batteries. These batteries are used in small medical devices such as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM*2) and capsule endoscopes. Primarily, the demand for primary batteries for medical devices is expected to continue to grow in the global market. Also, higher-quality products are required. Maxell’s primary batteries achieve high reliability that is required for medical device batteries through its cultivated sealing technology and long-life technology.
