DigiKey to Soar Global Operations With New India Base

Electronic components and automation products distributor DigiKey has introduced its new Indian subsidiary and will operate a global capability center in Bengaluru. Accordingly, the new site will reinforce the company’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.

The new DigiKey office will leverage the expertise of its nearly 300 employees in India that will support its global operations.

DigiKey celebrates its nearly 300 employees in India joining more than 4,700 other DigiKey team members worldwide.

Role of India’s Tech Ecosystem

Dave Doherty, chief executive officer of DigiKey said the launch of the company’s Indian base marks a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy. The newly established DigiKey GCC will serve as a hub for innovation and collaboration, signaling future growth in hiring and capability expansion.

Headquartered in Thief River in Minnesota, United States, Digikey offers a robust supply chain management system to ensure timely delivery of components. Specifically, it provides over 17 million components from more than 3,000 brand manufacturers.
