Lelon is currently proceeding with the installation of production equipment, and the company expects construction of the production lines to be completed by the second quarter. By 2026, the plant is scheduled to achieve an annual production capacity of 180 million units, with shipments focused primarily on automotive applications and AI server markets, where demand continues to expand.

Global Production Strategy

Lelon President Jimmy Wu described the new facility as a critical milestone in the company’s global manufacturing strategy.

“This new facility represents an important first step toward global production and the construction of a new supply chain,” Wu said. “It is not simply an expansion of manufacturing capacity, but a site designed to meet customer expectations. By advancing a multi‑location production strategy, we aim to reduce risk and ensure a stable supply.”

Looking ahead, Lelon plans to continue expanding production capacity on an annual basis. The company aims to increase output to 330 million units per year in 2027, and further to 720 million units in 2028. In the future, the company also plans to introduce production lines for hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors and conductive polymer products.

In addition, Lelon will sequentially obtain international certifications, including ISO and IATF, in line with global quality and automotive industry standards.

Logistics Advantage, Sustainable Manufacturing

Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate is home to numerous automobile manufacturers and Tier‑1 suppliers, making it one of Thailand’s most important industrial hubs. Lelon expects the opening of the new plant to contribute to the strengthening of supply chain resilience in the region.

Wu also highlighted the plant’s logistical advantages, noting its proximity to Laem Chabang Port, a key logistics gateway, as well as to customer manufacturing sites.

“The plant is geographically well positioned,” Wu said. “Its close proximity to major logistics infrastructure and customer facilities allows us to provide enhanced services.”

The facility is planned to incorporate advanced equipment that promotes automation and digital management, supporting the realization of smart manufacturing. Systems for renewable energy utilization and water resource management will also be introduced, reflecting Lelon’s commitment to sustainability.
