Kyocera Corporation has announced the opening of its new Nagasaki Isahaya Plant in Isahaya, Nagasaki Prefecture, marking a significant expansion of the company’s manufacturing footprint in Japan. The facility is scheduled to officially open on September 1, 2026, with production set to commence sequentially thereafter.
The company also confirmed the appointment of Naotaka Oota as plant manager, effective the same date.
Kyocera said the Nagasaki Isahaya Plant represents a total investment of approximately ¥68 billion through the end of March 2029. The site covers roughly 150,000 square meters and features Plant No. 1, a six-story steel-frame building with a footprint of about 14,959 square meters and a total floor area of approximately 80,799 square meters.

Construction of the facility began in September 2024 and is scheduled to conclude with the plant’s opening in September 2026.
The new plant will manufacture fine ceramic components, semiconductor packages, and related products. According to Kyocera, the facility is expected to achieve annual production capacity of approximately ¥25 billion from fiscal year 2030 onward.
The investment underscores the company’s continued focus on advanced ceramics and semiconductor-related technologies while expanding production capabilities to support future demand.
