PSECE 2026 to Harness ASEAN Semiconductor Links

The Philippines will leverage its 2026 ASEAN chairship to advance regional cooperation in semiconductors and electronics. The upcoming ASEAN-Integrated Philippine Semiconductor and Electronics Convention and Exhibition (PSECE) 2026 will serve as the focal point for this industry-wide collaboration.

Scheduled from October 26-28, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Manila, the event will bring together manufacturers, technology providers, policymakers, investors, researchers, educators, and industry leaders from across ASEAN and other markets to discuss the future direction of the sector.

“PSECE has always served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration within the semiconductor and electronics industry. By integrating a stronger ASEAN dimension, we aim to create more opportunities for cooperation that support innovation, talent development and sustainable industry growth across the region,” said SEIPI President Dr. Dan Lachica.

The strategic significance of the convention lies in its broader ASEAN scope. As semiconductor companies continue to adapt to evolving supply chains and emerging technologies, organizers are emphasizing regional coordination as a mechanism for strengthening industry competitiveness and resilience.

ASEAN Collaboration Takes Center Stage

A major component of the event will be the ASEAN Semiconductor and Electronics Forum (ASEF) 2026, scheduled for October 26 under the theme “One ASEAN, One Semiconductor Future: Building Resilient and Sustainable Global Value Chains.”

Hosted by the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation Inc. (SEIPI), the forum will convene industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to examine ASEAN’s expanding role in the global semiconductor ecosystem.

Discussions are expected to address regional integration, semiconductor-enabled technologies, AI-driven industries, and sustainable manufacturing practices. Organizers say these priorities align with the Philippine ASEAN chairship theme, “Navigating Our Future, Together.”

“This year’s convention places a stronger emphasis on regional collaboration,” SEIPI said, noting that stakeholders from industry, government, and academe will discuss supply chain development, workforce readiness, innovation, and ASEAN competitiveness.

Building Regional Competitiveness

Lachica said the expanded ASEAN focus is intended to create opportunities that extend beyond traditional networking and industry exchanges. The stronger ASEAN dimension, Lachica said, will enable more opportunities for cooperation.

The annual PSECE convention is intended to support discussions that may lead to partnerships, policy initiatives, investment opportunities, and workforce-development programs aimed at strengthening both the Philippines’ and ASEAN’s position in the global electronics value chain.

In addition to executive forums and plenary discussions, PSECE 2026 will feature technical symposiums, networking sessions, international pavilions, academic participation, and a large-scale exhibition showcasing semiconductor and electronics technologies, products, and services.

As regional governments and industries place greater emphasis on resilient manufacturing ecosystems, the ASEAN-integrated format signals a broader effort to deepen cross-border collaboration across one of the world’s most important electronics manufacturing regions.

As the ASEAN Chair, the Philippines is uniquely positioned to convene stakeholders around shared priorities that will shape the future of the region’s technology industries. Through PSECE 2026 and ASEF 2026, SEIPI aims to contribute to these efforts by providing a platform where different sectors can work together toward a more competitive, resilient and sustainable ASEAN semiconductor ecosystem.
