Global provider of hardware and software solutions for semiconductors and electronics ASMPT Limited has achieved another milestone with its global rebrand approach. Particularly, the company will align all its business units and regions worldwide under the ‘ASMPT’ brand. Founded in 1975, the company is giving off its former brand ASM Pacific Technology.

Over more than 40 years, ASMPT’s technologies have enabled its diverse and extensive array of customers to create a wide range of semiconductor and electronics solutions.

ASMPT’s Two Main Business Segments

With a modern, futuristic logo integrally paired with the company’s Vision “Enabling the digital world”, this distinctive identity carries the promise of the company’s commitment to shape a bright and sustainable future for customers, partners, investors, employees and society.

The company’s two main business segments: the Semiconductor Solutions and SMT Solutions segments, are leading and influential players in their respective fields. In addition, collectively, they are major suppliers in key sectors such as Advanced Packaging, Automotive, Communications, Computers, Consumer and Industrial equipment.

The Semiconductor Solutions segment (SEMI) of ASMPT carries a unique broad-based portfolio of mainstream and advanced equipment for chip assembly and packaging. SEMI solutions range from film deposition to bonding to molding to trim and form. In addition, integrating machines into complete inline systems for the microelectronics, semiconductor, photonics optoelectronics and applicative markets.

Meanwhile, the SMT Solutions segment comprises best-in-class hardware and software solutions. These include SIPLACE placement machines, DEK printing solutions, storage solutions, the smart shop floor management suite WORKS. Furthermore, in close cooperation with its affiliate Critical Manufacturing, the modern and highly flexible manufacturing execution systems (MES).  This combination of solutions and know-how forms the basis for the integrated Open Automation concept and the basis for the Integrated Smart Factory.
