Nikon Corporation has announced the establishment of Nikon Precision Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Penang, Malaysia. The new company will serve as a service base for the semiconductor equipment business in Southeast Asia focused on Malaysia. It will begin operations in Nov. 2023 with 50 employees initially.

The establishment of Nikon Precision Malaysia will further solidify Nikon’s support system in Malaysia, where investment by semiconductor manufacturers is rapidly accelerating. In addition, collaboration with Nikon Singapore Pte. Ltd.’s established service business will allow Nikon to further strengthen its semiconductor equipment business in Southeast Asia’s expanding market.
