Emerson Closes New Advanced Automation Deal

Specialty chemicals company LANXESS has selected software and automation provider Emerson as a Global Alliance Partner for automation technology. Accordingly, this will enhance its existing long-standing relationship.

By upgrading its control and safety systems, and digitally transforming its production facilities, LANXESS aims to optimize operational performance and support sustainability targets. 

Emerson’s control and safety systems will be deployed to help increase operational performance.

Advanced Automation Technologies
The companies have signed an initial five-year global agreement. To illustrate, Emerson will help drive the adoption of advanced automation technologies and enable more efficient project implementation. Thus, allowing LANXESS to achieve shorter time-to-market for new products.

Joint projects to develop and implement applications and analytics software will supplement the project. Moreover, this will identify opportunities for increased efficiency and performance. At the same time, will also aim to deliver sustainability goals.
