SUN-WA TECHNOS Sets Up New Indian Local Subsidiary

SUN-WA TECHNOS CORPORATION has established a local subsidiary in India as its new overseas sales base. The Indian sales base will start operations on Sept. 1.

Accordingly, the local office will provide services closely tailored to customers that have bases in India. Furthermore, it will lead to the expansion of the SUN-WA TECHNOS Group’s business in the Asian region, including India. 

The Indian local subsidiary SUN-WA TECHNOS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED lies in Bengaluru in southern India. Moreover, Bengaluru, where the information and technology (IT) industry is active, is the rising silicon valley in India. Also, many manufactures of automobiles, automotive components, and machine tools, as well as aerospace companies, have branched out into Bengaluru.  

Expands Business

Thus far, SUN-WA TECHNOS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. in Singapore provides services to customers in the Indian region. Now, SUN-WA TECHNOS INDIA enables SUN-WA TECHNOS to deploy sales activities closely tuned to customers in India. SUN-WA TECHNOS aims to expand its businesses into new markets. 

The start-up cost of SUN-WA TECHNOS INDIA is 6 Indian crore (about 109 million yen).  SUN-WA TECHNOS invested 99 percent and SUN-WA TECHNOS (SINGAPORE) invested 1 percent.  The company has appointed Shinpei Furukawa as General Manager. The subsidiary has two employees, including one local employee. 

Main customers and target industries are manufacturers of factory automation (FA) industrial equipment, railroad equipment, ATM equipment, transfer equipment, machine tools, and molding machines. 

The Indian sales subsidiary will expand sales of products from Yaskawa Electric Corporation, Omron Corporation, TDK-Lambda Corporation, MinebeaMitsumi Inc., and Stanley Electric Co., Ltd. Furthermore, it also cultivates local suppliers; manufacturers of drawings for aluminum processing, harnesses, and printed circuit board mounting; and components manufacturers of electric wires and transformers.

33 Overseas Bases

With the establishment of the Indian subsidiary, SUN-WA TECHNOS now has 33 overseas bases in total. Of this total, the company has 27 bases in Asia.

As an independent trading company that specializes in technology products, SUN-WA TECHNOS handles industrial electronics and mechatronics-related equipment, devices, and components.  In addition, the company deploys its businesses globally with the three sectors of electric, electronic and machinery at the core.

The company has deployed local subsidiaries in main countries in Southeast Asia. Particularly, these countries include Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

Going forward, the company set up a sales base in Bengaluru, the first in India.
