NSK's New Deal Expands Monitoring, Analysis Strength

NSK Americas, Inc., the U.S. headquarters of NSK Ltd., has acquired Alliance Bearing Repair and Reclaim, LLC. To begin, this deal expands NSK’s bearing services capabilities in the Americas.

Consequently, the acquisition also strengthens NSK’s condition monitoring and analysis by combining with Alliance’s reconditioning capabilities. This will lead new proposals throughout the entire bearing lifecycle. In addition, the service will help customers reduce bearing lifecycle costs, inventory burden, lead times, and carbon footprint.

Augment Core Expertise

Founded in 2005 in Ohio, Alliance’s core business is in reconditioning, that is remanufacturer, repair, and refurbishment, of bearings for the steel, pulp and paper, energy, and mining industries.

“With the Alliance acquisition, we’ve increased our service and support bandwidth to effectively manage bearing life cycle costs for our customers,” said Reid Jajko, Vice President, North American Technical Services, NSK Americas. “In this case, that includes utilizing reconditioning as a means to optimize viable service life from their bearing assets.”

By welcoming Alliance to the NSK Group, NSK will drive customer engagement through expanded post-sale maintenance and repair services, and even product disposal. In addition, customers will benefit from comprehensive service that can reduce bearing lifecycle costs including maintenance, scrap, and repair costs, shorten lead times, reduce carbon emissions, and secure stable operation of their facilities.

The acquisition will augment NSK’s core technical expertise with diagnostic technologies, Condition Monitoring Systems and Reconditioning Service. Particularly, NSK has been focused on bearing product life cycle management to deliver stable operation with reduced maintenance costs. Moreover, the company contributes to reducing carbon footprint of its business.
