Murata Completes New Production Building in Vietnam

Murata Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd., a manufacturing subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., announces the completion of a new production building in Vietnam. The company started construction of the facility in June 2022. It is located at Lot 1A, Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone, Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District in the country’s Da Nang City.

Mainly, the new production building will provide the infrastructure necessary to respond to the growing demand for inductor coils for cars and electronic devices in a medium- to long-term capacity.

Specifically, the completion ceremony today, Aug. 30, will be attended by Lê Trung Chinh, Deputy party secretary and Chairman of Da Nang people’s committee. Also, Yoshinori Yakabe, Consul General, Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang and Tsuneo Murata, Chairman of the Board of Murata will join him in the ceremony.

Murata invested around 4.32 billion yen (US$29.5 million) for the construction of the new building. Specifically, it features four stories above ground and has a floor area of 22,637sq.m. Additionally, the company will manufacture coil products in the new facility.

Recently, Murata also commenced the construction of a new manufacturing facility in the Philippines.
