ASM, Saki Team up to Drive Smart Factory, New Concepts

Saki Corporation, an innovator in the field of automated optical and X-ray inspection equipment, has partnered with ASM SMT Solutions, the business segment of ASM Pacific Technology (ASMPT) Group. The two technology providers are cooperating to enable seamless machine connectivity.

Particularly, the cooperation will encompass between Saki’s inspection and measurement systems and ASMPT’s pick-and-place machines using IPC Connected Factory Exchange (CFX). The partnership provides customers with access to powerful production line solutions that offer “plug & play” machine-to-machine connectivity and are IIoT / Smart Factory enabled.

Boost Quality, Process Optimization

The collaboration between Saki and ASMPT aims to promote and advance the execution of the Smart Factory concept. In addition, this will also provide manufacturers with state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 technology solutions that will boost quality, productivity, and process optimization.

Tatsunori Muroya, Chief Sales Officer at Saki Corporation welcomed the partnership with ASMPT, saying this will provide their customers necessary tools and solutions. “Through our collaboration, we provide our customers with the necessary tools and solutions to seamlessly implement Industry 4.0 best practices.”

Meanwhile, Sven Buchholz, ASMPT´s Vice President Portfolio Management for the SMT Solutions Segment, said, “We look forward to further strengthening our partnership to help our joint customers cost-effectively boost productivity, improve quality, unlock data-driven insights and enhance vendor- independent operations by automating or optimizing manufacturing processes.”

Boost Equipment, Software Solutions

On the other hand, Saki announced it has the appointment of Daniel Laue as Regional Sales Manager for Germany. Laue will offer technical sales for Saki’s full range of 3D solder paste inspection (SPI), automated optical inspection (AOI), and automated X-ray inspection (AXI) equipment and software solutions to German customers.

Driven by market growth, Saki is strengthening further its position in the German-speaking region. The company aims to expand its direct sales force and adding further technical sales expertise.

In addition, Saki also aims to complement the business development activities of its long-standing distribution partner Selecs.
